Supporting Family in Need Through Corporate
Social Responsibility
Tropical Group Bali was first established in 2003. As a holding company that is based in hospitality, Tropical Group Bali is not only committed to providing the best products and hospitality services for the customers but also to make a positive impact on the world through direct benefits for society and the environment by practicing corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.
CSR goes beyond simply donating money to the society. CSR has become an integral part of Tropical Group Bali to make a positive impact in the communities. By incorporating CSR programs, Tropical Group Bali can contribute to society through the company’s commitment to sustainability and community welfare.
To celebrate its 13th anniversary in December 2023, Tropical Group Bali held a charity event for the community as a series of activities on the road to anniversary. The purpose of this charity event was to help people around Bali and provide the basics for those in need. The event was held on Friday, 8 December 2023 by visiting donees’ houses which were located in Denpasar, Benoa, Kediri, and Ubud. The aim of this charity was to help disabled families.
Disability families often face a range of challenges, including financial strain, limited access to resources, and societal stigma. Caring for a family member with a disability can be emotionally and financially demanding, as well as placing significant stress on the entire household. Access to specialized care, adaptive equipment, and educational support can also present financial barriers for disabled families. These challenges can create a sense of isolation and exclusion within the community.
They were some families of Tropical Group employees and employee’s families who have a disability and have been struggling financially. The charity was also held around the Tropical Group office, including in Banjar Pande, Banjar Peken, and Celuk Benoa area. The donations were delivered in the form of cash and basic necessities.
When it comes to CSR programs, supporting families with disabilities can be particularly impactful. Families with disabled members struggle to make ends meet due to the high costs associated with caring for a family member with a disability. These families often have to cover expenses such as medical bills, special education, and therapy sessions, which can add up quickly. Tropical Group’s donations aimed at helping these families hopefully could help alleviate their financial burdens, demonstrating a company’s commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing unique challenges. Hopefully, it not only improves the quality of life for individuals with disabilities but also empowers them to reach their full potential.
In addition, this action can also help raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding disabilities. By publicly supporting disability families, Tropical Group wished that it could bring attention to the challenges they face and promote acceptance in society. This can go a long way in breaking down barriers and creating a more inclusive community for individuals with disabilities.
Embracing corporate social responsibility can also lead to increased employee engagement and satisfaction. When employees see that their company is actively contributing to humanitarian efforts, they feel a sense of purpose and pride in their work. Hopefully, Tropical Group Bali can also serve as a source of inspiration and motivation to encourage others to take action and make a positive impact for a larger community.
